About Equestrian Eventing
Equestrian first featured at the Paris 1900 Olympic Games for males, with five events at the Place de Breteuil Arena.
In 1912, team jumping, individual dressage and eventing (team, individual) were added to the Olympic programme.
Women were able to take part in all equestrian events from 1964, making it the only entirely mixed-gender sport at the Olympic Games. Medals are awarded to both individual competitors and teams.
